Privacy at a glance

  • We use personal information to run PerlerTool, protect accounts, and provide support.
  • We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
  • Payment providers handle card and cryptocurrency payment details on their own systems.
  • You can contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information.

Information you provide

Account information includes your email address, password hash, display name, avatar, profile biography, and account settings. We never store your password in readable form.

Content information includes patterns, project images, titles, descriptions, comments, likes, publishing choices, and moderation history. Feedback and support requests may include the contact details and message you choose to submit.

Information collected automatically

We record the information needed to maintain sessions, enforce usage limits, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure. Cloudflare may process network information such as IP address, request time, browser details, and security signals when delivering the site.

PerlerTool uses essential cookies for sign-in and security. The editor uses browser storage to keep an in-progress draft on your device, and checkout flows may use short-lived session storage to confirm that membership access was updated. We do not currently use advertising cookies.

How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts and keep users signed in.
  • Save, process, publish, export, and moderate patterns and finished projects.
  • Apply free-plan limits and activate paid memberships.
  • Process feedback, password resets, service emails, and support requests.
  • Detect fraud, investigate misuse, fix errors, and improve reliability.
  • Comply with payment, tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.

Payments

Creem processes recurring card payments and acts as merchant of record where shown at checkout. NOWPayments processes prepaid cryptocurrency payments. Paddle may process card payments on checkout pages where Paddle is identified as the provider. These providers collect payment, billing, fraud-prevention, and tax information under their own privacy policies.

PerlerTool receives limited payment records such as the selected plan, transaction and customer identifiers, payment status, currency, and membership dates. We do not receive or store full card numbers, card security codes, or cryptocurrency wallet private keys.

When information is shared

Cloudflare provides hosting, database, object storage, security, and email infrastructure. Payment providers process transactions as described above. Email and operational notification services receive only the information needed to deliver messages or alert us to support and service events.

Content you choose to publish can be viewed by other people after approval. Your display name, avatar, comments, likes, and other associated profile information may appear with public content. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

Storage, retention, and security

Account and membership records are stored in Cloudflare D1. Pattern files, uploaded images, thumbnails, and exports are stored in Cloudflare R2. Browser drafts remain on your device unless you save or publish them to the service.

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Certain transaction, security, moderation, backup, and support records may be kept longer to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse. We use access controls and reasonable technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can change profile information and control whether supported content is public or private from your account. You can clear editor drafts through your browser storage controls.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing of, or delete personal information. Submit a request through the contact page. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally required. Payment-data requests may also need to be submitted directly to the payment provider.

International processing, children, and updates

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their contractual, technical, and legal safeguards apply to those transfers. PerlerTool is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires parental consent, a child may use the service only with that consent.

We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact page.
